In vielen Chinchilla-Pelletsmarken ein viel zu hoher Fett- und Proteinanteil
enthalten, welche von den Tieren nicht verwertet werden können und sich als
vorerst Blasensand (in später Folge Blasensteine) in der Blase absetzen.
Es empfiehlt sich zwar genügend Pellets zu füttern, jedoch den Anteil von
Heu = Rohfaser zu erhöhen - also besser mehr Heu als Pellets.
Leider wird diese Erkrankung erst im Akutfall bemerkt, bei diesem Chinchilla
(siehe Ultraschallbild oben) ist plötzlich aus dem männl. Glied Blut ausgetreten,
der Tierarzt führte eine komplette Durchuntersuchung, sowie eine Ultraschall
-untersuchung durch und durch die Verabreichung von Antibiotika sowie Elektrolyte
und Darmflora-aufbauendem Zusatz konnte dem Chinchilla binnen
weniger Tage geholfen werden!
Nach Gesundung des Tieres wurde die Pelletsmarke umgestellt
und seither gab es keine weiteren Vorkomnisse dieser Art.
