Zum Thema Chinchilla-Kastration gibt es unterschiedlichste Meinungen
und Ansichten, in diesem Bericht spiegelt sich meine persönliche
Meinung.
Grundsätzlich -
wenn kein Nachwuchs erwünscht ist, ist eine
gleichgeschlechtliche Haltung sicher die leichteste Variante
der Chinchillahaltung.
Zu bedenken -
ist immer, das die Verträglichkeit der Narkose individuell vom
Tier selbst abhängt - eine Narkose ist stets eine Belastung für
jedes Tier. Die Möglichkeit der Änderung des Charakters in
depressives Verhalten ist nicht zu unterschätzen.
Triebhafte Chinchilla-Böckchen -
es gibt zahlreiche triebhafte Böckchen, welche unter Umständen
sogar ihren eigenen Nachwuchs töten und das Muttertier anfallen,
in diesem Falle (zum Wohle des Böckchen und der Partnerin und
deren Babies) halte ich eine Kastration als gute Möglichkeit - hier
wird die Änderung des Charakters absichtlich und zielführend
unternommen. In diesem Falle spreche ich mich persönlich sogar
für eine Kastration aus, soferne das Böckchen anderen Böckchen
gegenüber unverträglich und somit nicht gleichgeschlechtlich ver-
gesellschaftbar ist. Zumindest ist eine erfolgreiche Kastration und
somit Wiedereingliederung zu einem anderen Chinchilla für das
Böckchen sicherlich besser als eine Einzelhaltung!
Wie eingangs schon erwähnt hängt eine erfolgreiche Kastration
individuell vom jeweiligen Chinchilla, als auch von dem Narkose-
mittel, Warmhaltung und Operationstechnik ab.
Bei sauber durchgeführten Kastrationen (wie alle Operationen),
werden keine Entzündungen entstehen - es gilt auch zu beachten,
das das Sandbad zu entfernen ist. Ein Penisvorfall ist ebenso
individuell möglich, wobei es zu unterscheiden gilt, ob die Muskel
durch die Kastration einfach schwach sind und der Penis momentan
nicht zurückgezogen gehalten werden kann, oder eine Verletzung bei
der OP vorlag. Sollte es sich um eine momentane Muskelschwäche
handeln, muß (wie auch beim Vorfall) der Penis vom Tierarzt zurück-
geführt werden.

undertaken. In this case, I personally
even speak myself for a castration
from, if the boy chin others little boy
chins opposite intolerable and
consequently not same-sex company-pure is. A successful castration is at
least and consequent reintegration of
another chinchilla for this little boy
chin surely better than a single-attitude!

mentioned hangs a successful castration
individually from the respective
chinchilla, also as from the anaesthesia-middle, warmly-attitude and operation-technology from.

the OP was available. One could about a
